internal alarm clock malfunction.
saturday morning i slept until 10:30, it was lovely. this never happens. oversleeping for work, yes. sleeping in on the weekends, never. it was a beautiful morning, so we headed out for a run.

we made plans for saturday evening to visit with some friends. the dilemma...skip lunch or bring food with us. it almost seemed silly to have to think about it until my friend had asked "what can you eat?" so instead of trying to explain, we offered to cook for everyone.

kevin also made sweet potato fries (they were still in the oven when dinner was ready) everyone one else but their burgers in a bun with ketchup + mustard, then washed it down with nice cold beers. and mine looked something like this..
i may have cheated just a little with a small glass of bourgone pinot noir. (it was a xmas present and it was the first time our small group of friends have gotten together since my best friend had her baby) but no cravings whatsoever for a beer! at one point in the night, i caught kevin eyeing up the cookies on the counter. i laughed, because i was too. while we were sitting there convincing each other not to do it, another friend walked over, ate one, then made a face. apparently the cookies were stale. yay for self control.

warm up: 400m run
WOD: amrap in 20 Minutes of: 20 wall throws // 20yd bear crawl // 20yd broad jumps (5 burpees after every 5th jump) ---> 4 rounds + 5 wall throws. my first round i started doing 5 burpees for every broad jump. (roughly 9 jumps in 20yds = 45 burpees) that screwed my numbers for the rest of the workout. >:

a typical football sunday when we visit my dads house... kevin and my dad yelling at the tv and my four year old nephew repeating everything they say. quite entertaining. usually when we visit, they will make us dinner. tonight, kevin offered to cook.
